An interesting article.

It happens to many come to study or to do business in the United States. I am one of them when I come to study 30 years ago. I use David as my first name but not Jih Jiun, which is based on the direct transliteration of my Chinese name, for my first name here is because I find out many have difficulty to pronounce “Jih Jiun”.
Even if I use Jih Jiun David Chou. They are often confused which is my first name. Jih Jiun or David? I have to explain to them that David is my middle name so people can pronounce it easier.
So, quick and easy. I now use David Chou when I sign.
